I loved the North Island of New Zealand and my highlights included travelling through Northland to Cape Reinga, seeing Tane Mahuta, playing with my inner child at Hobbiton, pumping adrenalin by abseiling into the caves in Waikato, spending a night at a Maori marae near Rotorua, visiting the museum in Rotorua, enjoying the thermal wonders in Taupo, spotting the endangered and rare Blue Duck, seeing Tongariro after many attempts and missing the earthquake in Wellington by minutes. Above all, I loved the greeness and the energy of Coromandel the most!
Photo walk is an opportunity to take a walk with me through my ‘photo’ eyes. I often see the world through photos and love exploring my surroundings in this way.

Hi mssD
Once again many thanks for the tour of NZ I never realised just how beautiful it is there. I have a cousin Graham, who emigrated to NZ many years ago and has always said that he would never live anywhere else. Now I understand what he sees in that small country, and why he is so happy there.
Mostly I admire your spirit of adventure and your gypsy lifestyle. You truly are a fearless free spirit, much love to you.

Dear Gilli,
Just wait until you see the South Island – it’s even more remote. Will add some photos of it soon. It is a truly pristine country and I can understand why people love living there. Nature is definitely first! I love my gypsy lifestyle too and that it works for me. Here’s hoping I can find my way.
Love to you x
